What are regenerative medicine treatments?
EmCyte Pure Platelet-rich plasma therapy
Introducing regenerative medicine
There’s a lot of buzz around regenerative medicine these days – and with good reason. Regenerative medicine in skin aims to repair damaged or diseased tissues.
EmCyte PurePRP can be used to improve the look and quality of hair and skin by using your own blood. Emcyte Pure Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is one such procedure and is becoming increasingly sought after due to its plumping and age defying results.
What is Emcyte Pure Platelet-rich plasma therapy? (PRP)
EmCyte Pure PRP therapy is a regenerative treatment that uses a person’s own blood to promote healing and repair damaged tissues.
It involves drawing blood, concentrating the platelets, and then injecting the concentrated EmCyte Pure PRP back into the affected area. The concentrate of plasma protein is derived from whole blood, centrifuged to remove red blood cells but retaining platelets.
We all have platelets in our blood. EmCyte PurePRP is a 3-step procedure including:

Step 1
A small amount of blood being drawn from your arm (about 2 to 4 tablespoons).

Step 2
The blood is then placed into a machine that separates the platelets from the rest of your blood.

Step 3
It is then re-injected into you (only the part of your blood that contains a high concentration of platelets).

Post Treatment
The entire process is completed within 30 to 60 minutes. Patients may experience some pain, bruising, or swelling after the treatment. These tend to go away within a few days.
Why choose EmCyte PurePRP?
10 Billion platelet doses
EmCyte PurePRP is renowned for its purity and precision in platelet concentration, ensuring that you receive the most potent and effective PRP treatment available.
By opting for the 10 billion platelet doses and a 70% retrieval of mononuclear cells, you are investing in a treatment that maximises your body’s natural healing potential, offering a promising solution to hair loss and skin rejuvenation.
Who performs the treatments?
Here at FreshYou, Emcyte PurePRP treatments are administered by Nurse Practitioners who are appropriately skilled and experienced in the procedure, using a highly reputable PRP system. These important factors ensure that you experience optimal results.
The outcome of PRP depends on the expertise of your practitioner, the PRP system used to separate the PRP, the platelets count and your individual health. Emcyte PurePRP offers a higher platelet count than other PRP. Tube PRP offers as little as one billion platelets which is below the therapeutic dose.
Treating hair loss
We understand how concerning hair loss can be, and we are committed to offering you the most effective treatments available.
EmCyte PurePRP is designed to support hair restoration by utilising the power of your body’s own platelets which play a crucial role in healing and tissue regeneration. When concentrated and injected into the scalp, they release growth factors that stimulate hair follicles, promoting hair growth and improving hair density. When considering treatments for hair restoration, the concentration of platelets used in EmCyte PurePRP therapy is a critical factor in determining the effectiveness of the procedure.
Hair loss treatments
- Stimulates hair growth
- Improves scalp health
- Rejuvenates hair follicles
- Increases hair density
- Reduces hair shedding
How many treatments will I need?
Three treatments are administered at four-week intervals. Approximately 4-5 weeks after the first treatment, you will notice that your existing hair appears shinier, thicker, softer, and has a healthier colour. These improvements are due to a healthier scalp environment for hair growth. Several weeks after the second treatment, you will observe the formation of fine new hairs, which will thicken over time. This new growth and thickening of the hair continue with the third treatment and will continue to stimulate new hair growth for several months. We recommend a maintenance treatment six months after the third treatment.
Skin rejuvenation
ZEmCyte PurePRP uses your own cells to improve skin texture, clarity, volume, lines and wrinkles. It essentially provides a natural alternative to anti-ageing and has become a huge hit for those wanting to improve their appearance without looking done.
How does it rejuvenate skin?
EmCyte PurePRP is all about stimulating tissue regeneration that exists within the skin and concentrating the elements of your blood that will trigger this regeneration. It’s important to understand that PRP is not a muscle relaxant to help minimise the appearance of wrinkles, nor a filling substance to add volume to the tissues. It is an autologous treatment that uses your own blood plasma to improve the appearance of your skin.
What skin concerns can it treat?
- Treat wrinkles and crepiness in the skin
- Skin regeneration
- Stimulates collagen production
- Stimulates elastin production
- Improves skin texture, tone & hydration
- Help to repair sun damage
- Help to reduce wrinkles and fine lines
- Improve the appearance of acne scars
What will I experience after treatment?
After an Emcyte PurePRP skin rejuvenation treatment, you’ll begin to see a noticeable difference in your skin texture and tone within about three weeks, which gradually keeps improving. Skin regains its clarity, with a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles and an overall younger and healthier appearance. Whilst individual results will vary, some results may last for up to 12 months. The treatment involves minimal downtime, although some temporary bruising at injection sites is normal. For optimal results it is recommended that patients commence treatment with three sessions, followed by six monthly maintenance sessions.
